"Laven Fiskesø" is a natural fishing lake in the beautiful
Lake District of Denmark. Here you will be able to catch trouts of up to 8-9 kilos in weight. This lake is not man made, but natural. However, trees are planted around the lake to give the anglers shelter from wind and sun.

 
It's easy to find. The lake is situated only 2 kms. west of
the Århus-Silkeborg main road (no.15). Plenty of signs will guide you to the lake.
In the area you will also find 3 huge camping sites, hotels and cozy inns.
The lake covers an area of about 6000 square meters and is 6 meters deep at the deepest.
 
 
Among the fish you will be able to catch is rainbow trout. 
The lake has several handy facilities, like a place for cleaning the fish (with running water), toilet, family grill, tables and chairs (covered).
 
 

In order to prevent water pollution all use of chemical bait is forbidden.
It is strictly forbidden to feed the fish.

"Laven Fiskesø" is situated near in the lake district of Jutland. The observation tower of Himmelbjerget is not far away from the lake (right). The view from the tower is breath taking (far left). The lake district can also be cruised onboard the old paddle steamer Hjejlen (left). It will take you from the city of Silkeborg to Himmelbjerget
